I am from the hood
I am misunderstood

I am from the street
that no one ever seeks

I am from a place that is never sought out

Unless your looking to get high
searching for a way out

I am from a time when breaking the law is a new fad
kids basically just trying to be bad

I am from a place infested with trash
people based their lives on making fast cash

But then again it doesn't matter where I'm from
it only matters what I'll soon become

Look at the future not the past
try not to even grow up too fast

Appreciate what your doing and where your at

And remember someones even worse off than that
