Holly’s Story
When Holly, age 24, came to Jessie’s House, she was the mother of two and had just learned during a routine medical exam that she was five months pregnant with her third child. She and her children had been living with Holly’s mother, but as their relationship deteriorated, Holly felt a need to find a place of her own. Here’s her Jessie’s House experience in her own words:

“The holidays were a week away, so I made some phone calls to find a place to stay. Jane from Jessie’s House called me back just after Thanksgiving. I found a place to stay with my kids. Once housing opened up, we went and applied and it didn’t take long for them to place me in a three-bedroom apartment.
