Thank you for your interest in making a charitable contribution to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County. With your support, we will reach many more children and change lives. Your support will help pay for the recruitment and training of a "Big" volunteer, the matching process of a child in need of a caring adult, and ongoing supervision and support of the match. Our program is volunteer driven and we strive to provide safe and mutually rewarding mentoring relationships for youth and volunteers. Big Brothers Big Sisters depends upon the generosity of our community to help us make a difference in the lives of the children of Hampshire County.
How You Can Make Your Gift
Cash/Credit Card A gift of cash is available
immediately for the use of BBBS, and in most cases is fully deductible
for donors who itemize their federal income taxes. BBBS accepts
gifts via Visa and Mastercard. Contact Renee Moss, Director of
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County, at (413) 253-2591
or rmoss@chd.org.
Checks can be mailed to:

70 Boltwood Walk

Stocks/Securities No matter what tax bracket
you are in, making gifts with appreciated stock makes sense. Tax
benefits for the donor who has owned appreciated stock for more
than one year are two-fold: capital gains tax is avoided upon
transfer to BBBS and the donor can receive an income tax charitable
deduction for the full market value of the stock on the date of
the gift. Depending on your tax bracket and the size of the gift,
there may be an opportunity to carry over the charitable income
tax deduction over several years. Contact Renee Moss, Director
of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County, at (413) 253-2591
or rmoss@chd.org for more information.
Deferred Gift A deferred gift will allow a donor
to make a planned gift to BBBS over a period of years or as part
of estate plans. Properly designed, it can generate a charitable
income tax deduction. It can be designated for a specific purpose
or provide unrestricted support for BBBS's mission-directed activities.
These gifts are made in the form of trusts, bequests or endowments.

Give the Gift of Time It only takes a little time to make
a big difference in the life of a child. Become a Big Brother
or Big Sister. With only 3 to 5 hours a week to share, you can
enrich your own life while having a wonderful positive influence
on a child from your community. Perhaps, the time you have to
spare is less than weekly, our office is always in need of assistance
with frequent mailings, projects and events.

Tickets or Passes Consider donating tickets or passes to local
sporting events or cultural events. The Bigs and Littles are always
looking for low cost or free opportunities to enjoy the richness
of the community we live in.
Office Equipment/ Services These gifts which
save us time, effort or expense all effect the bottom line and
therefore help us to continue to match children with caring adult
volunteers.
